Department of Food , Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Punjab ( DFCSCA) headed by Minister Adaish Pratap Singh Kairon conducted written examination for the direct recruitment of Food Inspector , Punjab on December 15, 2013. Total Number of vacancies is 461. As per DFCSCA i.e. Department of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, there is direct recruitment for the post of Food Inspectors after written examination. There will be no interviews. The selection procedure for the post of Food Inspector will be done on the basis of merit. And the merit will be prepared by the Department of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs on the basis of written examination result.
The results of written examination held for the Food Inspector post are not declared yet. The question paper was set both in English and Punjabi language comprising 150 questions. Each question carried one mark. As there were five subjects covered under Food Inspector examination ; Language Proficiency covered Punjabi and English with 13 questions carrying 13 marks and 12 questions carrying 12 marks respectively , General Awareness with 25 questions carrying 25 marks , Logical Reasoning or Mental Ability with 50 questions carrying 50 marks , Quantitative Aptitude of 10th level with 25 questions carrying 25 marks , Computer Awareness with 25 questions carrying 25 marks. For every wrong answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted. For example If a candidate answered 22 questions in General Awareness section out of which 4 are wrong then the correct score will be 22-4 = 18 – (0.25*4) = 17 . Thirty Five percent i.e. 35 % of the total marks will be the minimum qualifying marks for candidates of all categories.
Question Paper along with the Answer Key http://fcs10.applyforexam.com/has been posted by Department of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Punjab within one day after examination for inviting objections from candidates, if any. The candidates can email their objections regarding answer key on the email id helplinefcs@gmail.com within three days after the test held i.e. till 19 December, 2013. The final answer key will be uploaded by Department of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs on the website http://fcs10.applyforexam.com/ within two weeks of the examination held after considering all the objections received and making necessary corrections for the same. And then this answer key will be used to prepare the final result. The merit list of recruitment test Food Inspector, Punjab conducted by Department of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained by candidates in written examination and the list shall be valid for six months from the day the result will be declared.
